 What would you have done?
The story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Genesis 3: 1-6 If you were Eve, how do you think you would have reacted to the serpent? Would you have taken a bite of the apple? If you were Adam, would you have taken a bite of the apple? Or would you have told Eve she was a dimwith for doing that? Would you have told the serpent to bug off? Verse 12 has Adam blaming Eve and Eve blaming the serpent! Would you have passed the blame? Or would you have confessed your sin?

Re: What would you have done?
Hmmm very intersting dilemma! I'd like to think that I would have obeyed God and stayed away from the Apple. However, I also know that in my daily life, many times I know that as I am doing something, it's not what God wants. But is that because of the consequences of this situation? Can I really compare my life today with all of it's situations and decisions to that of Eve? Probably not. Is that a cop out? No, I don't think so. I think it's reality. Did Eve know what the consequences of her actions would be for all of those that came after her? If I was Eve and I did know, I don't think I would have listened to the serpent.

Re: What would you have done?
If commanded not to do something in that manner, wouldn't have done it for any reason not even a woman. Had she done it, well that's her own soul. Even if I did do it, I would not blame anyone but myself since they were not forced to do it, Shaytan/Satan couldn't make anyone do anything especially then, the sinner willfully gives into the temptation (adam/eve alike), therefor the sinner is to blame.
If they want to cast blame for something like that they're not truly repenting when or even if they ask. SO technically I guess it's remaining in sin? I mean in no way was eating the fruit a justifiable act/sin.

Re: What would you have done?
Personnally, in my bc period-Before Christ-I would have done exactly as Eve, I think. Now, I would like to think that I would stop and say, "What would Jesus do?" Would that have stopped me from eating the apple? Well, I still sin and screw up. I honestly don't know. But even if I didn't eat the apple, I probably would have sinned in some other way.

That's a tough one. I would like to think I would have obeyed God, but I may have sinned.

That is where I'll have to argue with you sister, I just can't possibly see you sin, you're entirely too sweet. =D

Maybe you should talk to my kids before you agree to that! They could tell you stories!

Re: What would you have done?
Well, at least my kids never went hungry! They had a few spankings but not many. We tried to use other ways of disciplining them! And I am told I am a pretty good cook. I cook everything from scratch. Donuts, bread, pasta, everything.

Any food is good food to meh!
Back on topic, I see where some are coming from, even you on your response, I just don't see how people think they still would have sinned back in the time when God directly spoke to us. Wouldn't your fear of His punishment been much stronger because of His strong presence?

Re: What would you have done?
Yes, I would. I mean looking at the exiles out of Egypt. They saw God split the Red Sea! Wouldn't you think that would have shown them something even if all the other incidents with the Pharaho hadn't?
